UET Lahore is an Admitting University in Punjab has announced new ECAT Policy 2020 for the conduction of Entry Test 2020 for Engineering Programs.
New ECAT Admission Policy 2020
According to policy, the candidates waiting for their intermediate Inter Part 2 Result, are now also eligible for appearing in UET Entry Test 2020. In this regard, UET Administration has decided for the first time that there will be UET Online Entry Test 2020 this year. According to policy, University will conduct the Entry Test at the end of the intermediate second year exams. Moreover, UET has signed an MoU with Virtual University of Pakistan to conduct the Entry Test 2020 at the designed VU campus in Punjab.
New ECAT Admission Policy 2020
As you know that intermediate examination are postponed due to the COVID-19 threat and the Entrance Test 2020 may go ahead. However, admission schedule of UET was linked with declaration of FSc part 2 result by the BISEs Punjab. The admission process was delayed as compared to competing institutions that provide engineering education and offer admission based on 1st year intermediate result.
Online ECAT Test 2020
It is first time in the history that UET Entry Test 2020 will be online this year and expected at the end of FSc Part 2 Exam. The University believes that the decisions of early admissions and Online Entry Test 2020 will facilitate the candidates in the test. This policy can help those students who belong to middle or lower middle classes.
UET Test Pattern 2020
ECAT 2020 will be consisting of following sections:
For Pre-engieering and ICS Students:
- 30% – Physics
- 10% – English
- 30% – Mathematics
- 30% – Optional Subject
For pre-medical students:
- 30% – Chemistry
- 30% – Physics
- 10% – English
- 30% – Biology
The college and institutes affiliated with UET Lahore will also follow the same admission policy.
ECAT Eligibility Criteria 2020
Candidates with the following mentioned qualifications will be eligible for applying in ECAT 2020.
- Intermediate FSc Pre -engineering or equivalent foreign qualification
- Intermediate with Physics and Mathematics and also with Statistics or Computer Sciences.
UET ECAT Mock Test 2020
A Mock Test will help or guide the students how to attempt the computer based test will be held on Saturday or Sunday. A Mock ECAT 2020 will take place a week before the Entry Test 2020.
ECAT Requirements of photo ID
Candidates have to must arrange the photo-ID as mentioned for presentation in the entry test centers during the test.
